Banstead Rotary once more generously helps local charities with their Christmas collection.
Thank you from EETN Chairperson Judy Sarssam
Despite having to cancel four of the collection dates because of the dangers of ice and snow to those volunteers doing the pavement pounding, a splendid amount of money rattled into the collecting boxes.
The grand total distributed amongst many local charities:
- Age Concern Banstead
- Home Start Epsom, Ewell and Banstead
- Dyscover
- Princess Alice Hospice
- QEF Banstead Place
- Cross Roads Care
- Macular Disease Society (Banstead)
- Maggie’s at the Marsden
- Transform Housing & Support
- Epsom and Ewell Foodbank
- East Surrey Autism
- National Autistic Society- Surrey Branch
- The Diamond Centre
- Banstead Scouts
- The Beacon School
The Epsom and Ewell Talking Newspaper were amongst the charities to benefit from the collection and delightedly benefited from the generosity of the public, the foot-sore collectors, Father Christmas on his lorry and most of all the hard working, dedicated Banstead Rotary Club team for making it all happen.
I know I speak on behalf of all the members of all the charities who will benefit from this magnificent effort in saying a great big thank you to everyone concerned.
