Epsom and Ewell Talking Newspaper are grateful to Helen Maguire, MP for Epsom & Ewell, for the opportunity to attend an enjoyable networking evening at the House of Commons Terrace Pavilion. The event brought together charities, businesses, educational establishments and community organisations from the constituency.
The evening was a valuable platform to explain how the Talking Newspaper supports blind and partially sighted listeners by sharing local news in an accessible audio format. Leaflets were distributed widely, helping raise awareness of the service and its importance to people who may otherwise miss out on local information. Helen Maguire even expressed interest in visiting the studio to read an article, so watch this space!
Despite damp and windy weather, the evening proved both enjoyable and worthwhile, strengthening local links and it opening up promising opportunities to reach more Listeners.
