On Thursday 4th December, the Epsom and Ewell Talking Newspaper team came together for our annual Christmas Party — a fantastic chance to celebrate another year of making a difference. Every Volunteer plays a vital role in bringing news, information and entertainment to our local visually impaired community; we couldn’t do it without them.
A special thank you goes to our Honorary President, Councillor Robert Leach, the Mayor of Epsom and Ewell, who presented Peter and Eileen with long service certificates. Their dedication, along with the commitment of everyone in the room, is what keeps our Talking Newspaper thriving.
The atmosphere at Swail House was full of festive cheer, with beautiful decorations, mulled wine, and canapés. We were treated to entertaining piano performances from both the Mayor and Richard from our technical team, adding to the fun.
A huge thank you to Jo and everyone who helped organise such an enjoyable event. Most importantly, thank you to all our volunteers — your time, energy, and passion are what make the Talking Newspaper possible.
