Epsom and Ewell has a new Mayor

Labour Councillor Rob Geleit was officially recognised at the annual Mayor Making ceremony at the Town Hall on Tuesday 23 May and is now the first citizen of the borough. Mayor Rob Geleit is looking forward to all of the events in his Mayoral calender over the coming year and to supporting his named charities: Age Concern Epsom and Ewell, Citizens Advice Epsom and Ewell and Love Me Love My Mind Epsom. We have the response from Epsom and Ewell Borough Council (EEBC) to the news that EEBC is one of three Surrey councils who have been threatened that their planning decision-making powers may be stripped by the Housing Secretary Michael Gove.

Surrey Police New Portal

Surrey Police‘s new portal allows the public to upload CCTV or Smart doorbell footage if suspicious behaviour has been observed where a local crime has been committed. We have news of many upcoming events over the next two weeks with a fulll list of the venues, dates and programmes.

The Derby will take place this weekend with The Oaks/Ladies Day taking place on Friday the 2nd June. There will be a new food festival and picnics within a new area, closer to the action. Derby Day tickets are available at The Jockey Club
