LEAGUE TABLE OF DEBT

Epsom and Ewell Borough Council‘s debt is ranked close to the bottom of the table in Surrey Boroughs “league table of debt shame” and at 195th average with all 381 local authorities in the UK.

THE CHALK PIT

Epsom and Ewell Borough Council‘s environmental committee to discuss options following another report of residents complaints about the noise and disruption at the Chalk PIt in College Road, Epsom.

Surrey County Council

Footpaths Survey

Surrey County Council have asked residents to share their views on footpaths to help drive improvements in a survey that is open until the 10th March. To take part visit Surrey Says Survey.

Hope Centre

The multi-agency Hope Service provided by Surrey County Council and Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Trust brings services together to support children aged between 11-18. The Hope Centre Pupil Referral Unit based in Epsom, one of three in Surrey, recently received a glowing Ofstead report. Youth Speaks

The local heat of the Youth Speaks national Debate Competition was hosted on Thursday 11th January 2024 at Blenheim High School with 21 students and 4 local schools taking part. The competion was organised jointly by the Rotary Clubs of Banstead, Epsom and Sutton and was attended by the Mayor of Epsom and Ewell Cllr Robert Geleit (Labour Court Ward), who with a large audience enjoyed lively debates.

Band of the Coldstream Guards

On Friday19th January 2024 the Mayor of Epsom and Ewell Cllr Robert Geleit (Labour Court Ward), attended The Coldstream Guards Band performance to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Epsom Playhouse. The concert raised awareness and funds for the Epsom & Ewell Royal British Legion and the Epsom & Ewell Mayor’s Charities: Age Concern Epsom and Ewell, Citizens Advice Epsom and Ewell and Love Me Love My MInd.
