Epsom & Ewell Talking Newspaper

Inside this issue
Issue 2405 starts off with news from the Epsom Derby, held last weekend – behaviour off the racecourse and performances on it. Did you back the winner?
There’s a report on the size of the financial contribution of the Derby to our local economy last year; and a piece on a project inspiring local artists to explore the theme of “Speed”.
Although money for urgent repairs to Epsom and St Helier hospitals has been welcomed, it is criticised for being a fraction of what is needed.
Our last issue carried a profile of Epsom’s newly appointed Mayor, Councillor Robert Leach. We now have an interview with him, conducted by the Epsom and Ewell Times, and hear about his “Friend of the Mayor” scheme.
We round off learning why 23 Epsom dads are setting off for Wales; about a football club with a difference; and two concerts which may be of interest.
